It was a real pleasure to be able to partner with the Trappers and Wild Sheep foundation to co-sponsor a conservation evening.

The video we showcased, ‘The Story of the North American Model for Wildlife Conservation – Opportunity for all’ clearly demonstrated the important role that Hunters and Anglers have played in the development of a Conservation model that belongs to all of us.

The Galloway Museum was provided the perfect partnership and venue for the event. Everyone appreciated the opportunity to take in the the local human and natural history on display. We really are fortunate to live in an area so rich in Fish and Wildlife.

We were able to honor local legend Howie Johnston for his contribution to conservation by training generations of young hunters in the Edson area.

Members were also able to bring their Antlers in to be scored and local biologists were on hand to discuss the initiatives that they are working on. Range officers were on hand to answer questions about the new range which is quite an accomplishment.

It was a great opportunity to celebrate the resources that we all value so much, with people who share a passion for keeping wild things in wild places.

We look forward to hosting more conservation evenings in the future.
