Long Range Maintenance and Fires

The Long Rifle Range will be closed Wednesday, January 25, and Friday, January 27th for maintenance.

Specifically, we’re taking advantage of some good weather to quickly complete some needed work on the Long Rifle range’s shelter.

The remainder of the range will remain open.

On a related note –

Small attended campfires are ONLY permitted in the designated parking/picnic area. Keep fires away from all of the shelters.

This should go without saying, but DO NOT start any campfires on any of the ranges. Specifically, DO NOT start a campfire RIGHT OUTSIDE THE LONG RIFLE RANGE’S SHELTER. I’d have thought this to be common sense, but apparently this deserves a post and expanding upon the safety rules.

Finally, always observe any fire bans that may be in effect as issued by the Yellowhead County.
