Due to a recent proposed insane amendment to our Firearms Act, the EFGA would like to encourage all members to contact their MP’s to voice their opinion on this matter.

If you haven’t heard, Bill S-223 proposes to introduce a myriad of irrational and incredibly restrictive changes to our firearm’s act.

Doug_M of ‘One Clear Voice’ has created a web tool for quickly generating a letter to send toyour MP, the PM, and the Public Safety Minister.

http://oneclearvoice.ca/letters/

It should only take you mere minutes to sign your name to a letter that can be emailed or printed to the appropriate representatives.

As an aside, and if you have the time, consider using this service as a template to write your own letter. Copy it word for word or make it your own; putting ink to paper can carry more weight. As the axiom goes, ‘1 letter is worth 100 votes’.

Although Bill S-223 is currently stalled and we’re holding our collective breath that another Liberal Senator does NOT adopt this nonsense, it’s important that we do not take our foot off the pedal.

stop-signRegardless of your shooting discipline, we must protect all our rights and continue to push back to appeal the more restrictive and nonsensical items within our firearms act.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

It is the opinion of the EFGA board that ALL members should belong to our various firearm lobby groups. Leading the charge is the CSSA and the newly minted CCFR. Each costs under $50.

For a cost of less than a couple of boxes of ammunition, you’ll help support a group of people that are dedicated to protecting and promoting a great Canadian tradition.

We must let our government know that we will not tolerate any legislation that further restricts us, and regain rights that have been lost due to purely emotional reasons.

If you haven’t already, we urge you to visit and support the following organizations:
