Hope everyone is staying healthy and in good spirits.

We’re living in some fascinating times and are seeing fundamental changes occur on a daily basis.

Considering the Province’s March 27th announcement, the Edson Fish & Game’s Longest Mile will remain OPEN.

Our outdoor range is large enough that it does not present any additional challenges to ensure that we adhere to the recent legislation. And just as important, I can’t think of a better venue to take a break from the ‘new norm’, get some much needed fresh air and let off some stress!

As per this recent announcement, any members visiting the range MUST help to ensure that NO MORE THAN 15 PEOPLE are in attendance throughout the ENTIRE facility. Generally, this should not be a problem as typically we only deal with these numbers in relation to special events.

That said, if you find that the total members present is nearing the cap of 15, please talk and coordinate schedules with your fellow members prior to setting up for your shoot. We must work together to get through this current pandemic.

Although I’m sure everyone is currently practicing social distancing, to help protect yourselves and limit the spread of COVID-19, always:

  • Do not visit the range if you are feeling sick or exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Do not visit the range if you are currently in quarantine.
  • Keep at least 6 feet (the length of a bicycle) from others at all times.
  • Avoid overcrowding in shelters or other enclosed spaces.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands after touching communal surfaces, including the gate lock and the sign-in shack.

The situation is very fluid with updates and changes coming from Alberta Health throughout each day. We will make adjustments to our operating procedures and status as required.

If you’re feeling particularly overwhelmed, please do not hesitate to connect with others. Click here for detailed information and resources.

Take care and stay in touch.
