The Edson Fish and Game Association and Gun club was happy to help out with the Kids Can Catch Ice Fishing Event.

The Event was very well organized by Nicole Tarves from Yellowhead County who did a terrific job of getting the word out. Ben Biro, our local Fish and Wildlife Officer, was out there with us. It was very well attended – we anticipated about 80 participants but received a total of 120 throughout the day.

Hats off to Ben, as he did everything from providing expertise to helping kids get their hooks set up and assisting with set up and take down!

This event was one of many events supported by the Alberta Conservation Association across the Province.

Thanks to Andy McCracken and Dan Patten from the EFGA who joined me to support this event. It was really a pleasure to see so many kids and families out enjoying the great outdoors!

A huge thank you to Ross for the drone photography.
