Alberta Environment and Parks would like to ensure that the Edson Fish and Game Associations are aware of the upcoming BearSmart workshop taking place in Edson, AB on March 28th – 30th.

The main workshop will be focusing on sharing information on successful BearSmart programs and initiatives throughout the province, and discussing opportunities in collaboratively reducing these conflicts going forward. Many of the BearSmart programs in Southern Alberta rely heavily on passionate volunteers, interested in creating safe spaces for wildlife and people. Perhaps there may be interested in helping reduce attractants in neighborhoods with high bear conflicts through assisting in education, helping clean-up attractants as needed, etc.

Come to the workshop and find out more.

The third day, the Electric Fence workshop, will be sharing details on a variety of BearSmart tools available in Alberta (e.g. electric fences, bear-proof bins).
