Range Officers Course
February 24 and 25, 2017
Range Safety Officer Instructor Ryan Hall will be putting on an Alberta Federation of Shooting Sports RSO course.
Fees: $100 payable to the Alberta Federation of Shooting Sports (Please don’t bring cards or cash as the money goes directly to AFSS).
The classroom component of the course will be held at Parkland Composite High School on Friday February 24th from 6pm to 9:30pm in classroom 146. Signs will be posted.
You will need:
- a pad of paper
- a writing tool
Please DO NOT bring firearms or live ammunition to the school.
The Range component of the course will be held at the EFGA Longest Mile Range on Saturday, February 25th. Be on the pistol bay floor at 9:30am. Please use the designated parking area to the left of the pistol bay’s entrance.
You will need:
- Hearing and eye protection
- 200 rounds of 22LR ammunition
- A functional 22LR rifle
- Dress accordingly for the weather
- Lunch
- Water
- Drill Card (Provided at classroom session)
A variant of the Ruger Rimfire Challenge or NSSF Rimfire Challenge will be made available to participants at the end of the course. Although participation is not required to receive a passing grade, it is encouraged.
