The Alberta Government introduced additional provincewide restrictions on November 27 to help protect the health system and slow the spread of COID-19.

The Longest Mile can remain OPEN while adhering to the stronger public health measures:

As per this recent announcement, any members visiting the range MUST help to ensure that NO MORE THAN 10 PEOPLE are in attendance throughout the ENTIRE facility.

Full details can be found on the Alberta Government’s ‘Enhanced Public Health Measures’ web site: https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-public-health-measures.aspx

If you find that the total members present is nearing the cap of 10, please talk and coordinate schedules with your fellow members prior to setting up for your shoot. We must work together to get through this current pandemic.

Although I’m sure everyone is currently practicing social distancing, to help protect yourselves and limit the spread of COVID-19, always:

  • Do not visit the range if you are feeling sick or exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • It is strongly recommended that the activity is kept to members of the same household.
  • Do not visit the range if you are currently in quarantine.
  • Stay 2 metres apart when you can, wear a mask when you can’t.
  • Avoid overcrowding in shelters or other enclosed spaces.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands after touching communal surfaces, including the gate lock and the sign-in shack.

The situation is very fluid with updates and changes coming from Alberta Health throughout each day. We will make adjustments to our operating procedures and status as required.

If you’re feeling particularly overwhelmed, please do not hesitate to connect with others. Click here for detailed information and resources.

Take care and stay in touch.
