Welcome to our First Annual Howie Johnston Rifleman’s Rodeo!
This coming Saturday, May 24th, join us for a great day of fun and friendly competitiveness in hunting situations for young and old.
This day is to memorialize the true efforts of Howie’s passion of developing the skills of hunters and sportsman shooters alike. He took great pride with honing their skills to be more proficient in their shooting efforts using the tools he or she chooses to use.
There will be a silent auction table with some great items donated by local businesses and some great prizes sponsored by some great companies in the greater Yellowhead and Western Canada.
Registrations will start at 8:00 am at the Edson Fish and Game Association’s The Longest Mile Range. Match will start at 9:00.
Divisions
Kids: 6-12 years old. Rimfire event, 25 50 metres with some walking reactive targets, some stationary targets. For score, standing, kneeling and prone positions.
Youth: 13 – 17 years old. Rimfire or centerfire with stationary targets for score. Standing, off-hand, kneeling, prone positions and hunting situations.
Adults: 18+. Center fire, hunting rifles, standing off-hand, kneeling, sitting prone, and hunting situations.
All course of fires to be determined the day of the event.
Match Fees
Kids (6-12): $20 for family members; $30 for non-members
Youth (13 to 17): $30 for family members; $40 for non-members.
Adults: $40 for members; $50 for non-members
Lunch and beverages will be provided with your entry fee.
