2nd Annual Howie Johnston Rifleman’s Rodeo!
Join us for a great day of fun and friendly competitiveness in hunting situations for young and old.
This day is to memorialize the true efforts of Howie’s passion of developing the skills of hunters and sportsman shooters alike. He took great pride with honing their skills to be more proficient in their shooting efforts using the tools he or she chooses to use.
There will be a silent auction table with some great items donated by local businesses and some great prizes sponsored by some great companies in the greater Yellowhead and Western Canada.
Course of Fire:
Any shoulder-fired rifle used for hunting purposes.
• 25, 50, and 100 metres
• Standing (offhand) — 5 shots
• Kneeling / Sitting — 5 shots
• Prone — 5 shots
• Random draw for positions and targets
On-paper scoring on animal-target boards.
Top 3 Shoot-off at 200 Metres — steel targets
• 1 MOA steel — 3 points
• 2 MOA steel — 2 points
• 3 MOA steel — 1 point
• Tie-breaker: 1 MOA steel at 200 metres
Registrations will start at 8:00 am at the Edson Fish and Game Association’s The Longest Mile Range. Match will start at 9:00.
