His shooting experience spans over 23 years\, and is both Sig Sauer patrol rifle certified\, and a Moksha Yoga instructor. Robert has been running a series of training courses that will benefit shooters of all levels. \nWe’re very excited that Robert has expressed his desire to base his training at the new EFGA Longest Mile Range! \n[title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double solid” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Dynamic Semi-Automatic Pistol Course[/title]\nNew gun owners seeking familiarity and comfort\, as well as those wanting to try something different and learn a new skill\, will find this course to be the perfect foundation. This comprehensive course provides hands-on training and the basic knowledge necessary to safely handle\, load\, fire\, and maintain most types of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Wally will be at the range by 9am with sleeves rolled up. \nIn preparation for a summer’s worth of projects\, we need to get a few volunteers out to donate some grunt labour. \nOver the wonderful mild winter we experienced\, the EFGA was able to complete a couple of huge projects\, as well as collect some additional materials and storage. \nWe need to move a collection of building materials\, as well as perform some basic maintenance such as repair to target boards. \nBring out yer hand tools\, including shovels\, hammers\, and rakes. \nPlease RSVP here.

Using a mix of reactive and static targets\, these drills include precision shooting\, near-to-far transitions\, engaging multiple targets\, shooting while moving\, and a lot more. Shoot smooth and fast using the SIG (Simple is Good) principle of shot delivery. \nMaterial is presented in a casual and relaxed environment with sufficient classroom and range instruction for each student to achieve a solid level of comfort. DESCRIPTION:The RCMP Emergency Response Team will be conducting training exercises throughout the entire Longest Mile Range facility beginning Tuesday\, September 15\, 2015 at 12:00 noon. Exercises will complete by September 16\, 2015 at 12:00 noon. \nThe entire range will be closed starting at 12:00 noon for the rest of the day. Although you’re welcome to use the range in the morning of the 15th\, please be prepared to leave upon the RCMP’s arrival. The gate will be locked during this time. \nNormal operations will resume the following day on September 16 by 12:00 noon. DESCRIPTION:The Pistol Bay will be closed to the general membership August 15 and 16\, 2015 to host the following firearms course:\n[title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double solid” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Dynamic Shotgun and Pistol Training[/title]\nRobert Gorman of Tactical Yoga continues his firearms training course at the Longest Mile with his Dynamic Shotgun and Pistol Course. \nThis course introduces the new shotgun and pistol owner\, or anyone interested in learning about the modern shotgun and pistol\, to the ins and outs of proper ammunition selection\, safety\, handling\, loading\, unloading\, firing\, and maintenance. \nCourse material is presented in a casual and relaxed environment with sufficient classroom and range instruction for each student to achieve a solid level of comfort. DESCRIPTION:The Edson Fish & Game Association are excited to partner with Robert Gorman of Tactical Yoga. \n \nRobert is a Canadian veteran\, having served 9 years with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry with a tour in Bosnia and Afghanistan. His shooting experience spans over 23 years\, and is both Sig Sauer patrol rifle certified\, and a Moksha Yoga instructor. Robert has been running a series of training courses that will benefit shooters of all levels. \nWe’re very excited that Robert has expressed his desire to base his training at the new EFGA Longest Mile Range! \nSome of the courses that Tactical Yoga offer are Dynamic Shotgun\, Patrol Rifle\, and Semi-Automatic Pistol. After zeroing the rifle\, shooters are guided through rifle manipulation drills and range time designed to increase comfort level and develop a solid skill base with the modern semi-automatic rifle. \n[title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”double solid” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Semi-Automatic Pistol[/title]\nNew gun owners seeking familiarity and comfort\, as well as those wanting to try something different and learn a new skill\, will find this course to be the perfect foundation. This comprehensive course provides hands-on training and the basic knowledge necessary to safely handle\, load\, fire\, and maintain most types of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Classroom and range time offer ample opportunity to archive the skills to be an accurate pistol shooter. \nThese courses should prove to be an excellent value – dates and pricing will be posted shortly.
