SUMMARY:Got Your Six 2017 Shoot
DESCRIPTION:2nd Annual Precision Rifle Charity Competition\nTony Burton and George Woodland have been busy with the entire Got Your Six Crew putting together a followup to last year’s highly successful charity shoot. \nThe shoot is scheduled to take place on July 22 – 23\, with setup starting late Friday afternoon. \nSounds like they’ve got some very big sponsors lined up already\, including MDT Chassis\, Bartons Big Country\, Glock\, SIG USA\, Leupold\, and others. The prize table is already shaping up to be 2 – 3 times the size it as last year. \nStay tuned… more information will be posted as it becomes available.

DESCRIPTION:In anticipation to the Got Your Six event this coming weekend\, we will be performing some basic maintenance throughout the range during this week of July 17 – 21st. \nWeather permitting\, we’ll also be laying another coat of paint on the various shelters. \nWhile the scope of the work does not necessitate any day-long closures\, be aware that at various times\, specific range operations may be temporarily suspended while work is completed. \nHelp is always welcome – maintenance times may be sped up by rolling up your sleeves and helping any crew with their task. \n

DESCRIPTION:3-Gun Course – Non Restricted Warmup\nThe pistol bay will be closed to the general membership for the duration of this course.\nIf your want the most out of the training\, you will bring all 3 platforms\, pistol\, carbine\, shotgun (demos also available). To save money\, you can run just a pistol and 22 rifle. This will allow for an inexpensive high round count while practicing technique. \nHone specific skills needed for competitive practical shooting through a series of drills designed to give you an edge. Using a mix of reactive and static targets\, these drills include precision shooting\, near-to-far transitions\, engaging multiple targets\, shooting while moving\, and a lot more. DESCRIPTION:West Fraser Mills will be performing an aerial survey sometime during the morning of May 8th.\nThe entire Longest Mile Range will be closed and locked for a short period of time to accommodate the survey.\nAs per our guidelines\, West Fraser officials will perform a quick inspection of the range to ensure that the entire range is empty. Any members present will be asked to leave for a short period of time. Although it was good to see some new faces and enjoy some interesting discussion\, we’ll have to complete an AGM before the end of the year. Using a mix of reactive and static targets\, these drills include precision shooting\, near-to-far transitions\, engaging multiple targets\, shooting while moving\, and a lot more.
